Gratitude

What would your day be like if you started and ended it by simply noticing all that you have in your life?

If you count all your assets, you always show a profit. Gratitude is a natural high. When you live in tandem with your spirit, appreciating all of life and what you have, you discover more joy and kindness in the world. Miracles happen everywhere all the time, but only those with an “Attitude of Gratitude" seem to notice them.

This circle of peace grows and you return to your natural state of joy, love and peace, knowing you are whole and complete just as you are.

“Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues, but the parent of all the others." ~ Cicero The following is a list of the top ten reasons to adopt the Law of Gratitude in your life:

1. Being in Gratitude Only Has Positive Side Effects. Positive emotions make you feel good and offer a sense of comfort. When we take a few moments to express our appreciation inwardly or to another, immediately we begin to feel happier, more relaxed, more optimistic.

2. Feelings of Gratitude Provide Short-Cuts to Miracles. Negative thoughts and feelings create an interruption in the natural flow of life. When you are feeling positive and grateful you accelerate what it is that you desire. Consciously appreciating what you already have is the short-cut to manifestation and the secret to personal fulfillment.

3. Thoughts of Gratitude Flood Your Body with Immune-Boosting Endorphins. Studies also provide evidence that a positive, appreciative attitude enhances the body’s healing system and general health. When you hold feelings of thankfulness for at least 15 to 20 seconds, beneficial physiological changes take place in your body. Levels of the stress hormones cortisol and norepinephrine decrease, producing a cascade of beneficial metabolic changes. Coronary arteries relax, thus increasing the blood supply to your heart. And your breathing becomes deeper, raising the oxygen level of your tissues.

4. Feeling Grateful Puts you Back into the ‘Flow of Life’ at the Speed of Thought. Thoughts create things. If you are feeling and thinking positive thoughts, you create positive situations. You draw positive people to you. Like attracts like.

5. Gratitude Unlocks the Fullness of Life Feelings of gratitude turn what you have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast or a house into a home. Gratitude makes sense of your past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.

6. Feelings of Gratitude Give You a ‘Natural High’. Grateful people tend to be more optimistic, a characteristic that researchers say boosts the immune system. Studies indicate that daily gratitude exercises result in higher reported levels of alertness, enthusiasm, determination, optimism and energy. Grateful people experience less depression and stress, are more likely to help others, exercise regularly and tend to make more progress toward personal goals.

7. People who feel grateful are also more likely to feel loved. Seven. Gratitude Provides an Immediate Sense of Well-Being. Gratitude, it turns out, can help us better manage stress. Gratitude research is beginning to suggest that feelings of thankfulness have tremendous positive value in helping people cope with daily problems, especially stress.

8. Feeling Grateful is the Main Cause of ‘Sustained Joy’. Focusing on the gifts one has been given is an antidote to envy, resentment, regret and other negative states that undermine long-term happiness. Joy is the simplest form of gratitude.

9. The More You Give -- The More You Receive. You always get more of whatever you appreciate. When you express LOVE, GRATITUDE, and SINCERE APPRECIATION, you naturally expand. Consciously appreciating what you already have is the short-cut to manifestation and the secret to personal fulfillment. The more you assist others, the more you will assist yourself.

10. When You Are Genuinely Thankful Anger and Fear Disappear. One of the incredible truths about gratitude is that it is impossible to feel both the positive emotion of thankfulness and a negative emotion such as anger or fear at the same time.

To Practice This Thought: Be lavish in your gratefulness.

Make gratitude a daily ritual.

Be thankful for whatever forces you to deal with your own strong emotions.

Set aside an hour or two to do nothing much except be grateful.

Focus on what is working in your life and what IS right in the world. It doesn’t matter how small or seemingly insignificant it may be. Before long you will notice that more things will fall into place with little or no effort on your part. Gratitude is a wonderful tool to use to feel good fast.

Dreams

Dreams are our subconscious and superconsciouness minds at work. While we are sleeping and our bodies are at rest, our dreams give us information and let us know where we are physically, mentally and spiritually.
Not all dreams have meaning. These are your physical dreams which are caused by noise, something you ate, or laying in an uncomfortable position. These can be forgotten. But there are two other categories of dreams which should not be ignored. These are: Subconscious Dreams and Superconscious Dreams.
Subconscious Dreams-- Most of our dreams fall into this category. These dreams are usually in symbols or pictures. They are trying to tell you something. Pay close attention to these. These dreams are also the hardest to figure out because all dreams are "made to fit" for the dreamer. In other words, one symbol in your dream may not mean the same thing to someone else . For instance a dog in my dream would symbolize something positive and friendly as I happen to love dogs. However, if you have had a bad experience with a dog, then a dog in your dream could mean something negative or threatening.
There are some symbols which have the same meaning to most people. For instance, water symbolizes emotions or the spiritual: a car symbolizes yourphysical body. This is because you use a car to get around town and your soul uses your body to get around in the physical plane. Your house or home symbolizes your consciousness. Your dream is your dream and no one else's. Only you can correctly interpret the symbols in your dreams!
Superconsciouness Dreams-- These dreams are from your superconscious mind, the part of you which is the closest to God or Infinite Wisdom. This part of you holds all the answers to all your questions. At times this wisdom comes through in your dreams.
You can recognize these dreams by how clear and real they appear to be. ESP dreams fall into this category. These dreams can tell you of a possible happening in the future. For instance, many people have dreamed of planes falling from the sky only to experience this happening later.
Sometimes telling others of these dreams can prevent whatever is about to happen, and sometimes it makes no difference what anyone says. Sometimes so called "bad" things will happen no matter what. But if you have an ESP dream and you think someone may be in danger, tell the person what you dreamed. If they take your advice, it may save a life. If they don't this is their free will. Don't feel guilty as you did all you could to warn this person.
Another kind of dream which falls into this category is that of the "soul visit" dream. This is where your soul travels away from your physical body and visits the spirit world or other dimensions. These dreams are also very real and clear and usually have someone who has passed over in them.
Your soul travels during sleep. It travels in the spirit world where we go after our physical bodies die. It also travels to other times, and dimensions and planets. This is one reason why you wake up feeling tired, like you have been up all night. In a sense, you were!
Nightmares fall into the Subconscious category and are some of the most important dreams there are. This is because your subconscious mind is trying very hard to either warn you of something or get you to pay attention to something that you are doing or not doing. These are the most beneficial dreams to interpret.
If you want to learn how to interpret you dreams you can do this by keeping a dream journal. Try this:
1) As soon as you wake up in the mornings or right after a dream, write it down. Even if it is fragmented or makes no sense, or even if there isn't much to write down. Whatever you can remember, write it down. Don't wait until later as you will forget most of the dream very quickly.
2) Work on interpreting the symbols in your dreams. What does the symbol mean to you? Get a dream symbol interpretation book and look up the symbols in your dream. But remember, the meaning of the symbol in the book may not hold the same meaning for you, but it may help you interpret your own symbols.
3) Decide on what these symbols mean to you.
4) Write a summary of your dream or dreams (sometimes we have more than one dream per night).
5) Keep each dream dated and numbered. This is so that you can check back later to see if your dreams relate to your daily life experiences.
6) Look over your dream sheets from time to time and notice if anything seems familiar to you. Does something in your dream remind you of something in your daily life?
Following are a few of the most popular symbols in dreams and their general meaning:
Your vehicle—your body Your home—where you live mentally and emotionally
Water—emotions or spirituality /Clear water represents spirituality/Muddy water represents your confused emotions
Trees—knowledge
Coffin—death of an old habit or physical death. Most dreams with death symbols do not relate to a physical death. Once you get into the habit of writing down your dreams, you will start to remember more and more details.
If you are too busy to write and interpret your dreams during the week, try doing it just on the weekends. Before you go to sleep each night, say to yourself, "My important dreams must wait until the weekend". This will help to direct your higher self to guide your dreams to that time of the week.
Take special care to write down all your nightmares, as these are the most important dreams!
